Creative Commons is a great way to introduce journalism students about copyright, licensing, digital media, and the opportunities inherent to online journalism. It’s also a way to spark discussions about what it means to be a journalist and what the aims are in publishing a journalistic work.
We are currently researching ways of providing classrooms and programs ways to implement Creative Commons into their production practices and workflows. In the meantime, here are some existing resources.
